Blood Type A Recipe Favorites

My husband has been much happier eating for his blood type this week.  With birthdays and all the post holiday craziness completely out of the way, I was able to spend more time in the kitchen.  These were his favorite Blood Type A recipes at this point in the journey:
  1. Blueberry Friands (will post soon)
    • Blood Type A and O
  2. Black Cod with Miso by RasaMalaysia
    • Blood Type A (we O's ate it too even though the sake and mirin are probably avoids)
  3. Tofu French Fries by White on Rice Couple
    • Blood Type A and O
    • Modifications:  I added a couple tablespoons of Sweet Rice Flour to make them a little crispier
  4. Crock Pot Turkey White Bean Pumpkin Chili by SkinnyTaste.com
    • Blood Type A (using modifications) and O (as is)
    • Modifications: leave out the chili powder, green chiles, and pepper
      • Note: I used White Northern Beans, Black-eyed Peas, and Mung Beans and opted not to use canned beans
  5. Avocado Chicken Salad by Becoming Betty
    • Blood Type: A
    • Modifications: leave out the mayo and pepper
  6. Persimmon Smoothie by The Gracious Pantry
    • Blood Type A and O
    • Modifications:  use almond or soy milk
  7.  Fluffy Spelt Pumpkin Pancakes by One Messy Kitchen
    • Blood Type A and O
    • Note:  Spelt Flour can be used in place of regular flour in any recipe
  8. Avocado Hummus by The Lovely Cupboard
    • Blood Type A
  9. Lemon Blueberry Baked Oatmeal by Prevention Rd
  10. Tomato-Free Marinara Sauce by Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom
    • Blood Type A and O
    • Modifications:  we left out the black pepper and balsamic vinegar and added a squeeze of lemon
Even though it has only been a couple weeks, he is finding it easier to eat right for his blood type as he is discovering what he enjoys packing in his lunch and for snacks.  Next week, I'll share some snack favorites for both blood types.
